Share your achievements, boost your career
Want to advance your career at Kaiser Permanente and move up the ladder? Kaiser Permanente and the Coalition of Kaiser Permanente Unions provide resources like career counseling and training that can move you higher.
You can help yourself as well: Update your talent profile on My HR and kp.org/careers.
What’s a talent profile? It’s where you can share your job skills, accomplishments and such basics as your preferred name and contact information with KP managers (on My HR) and recruiters (on kp.org/careers). Checking this information on your smartphone or computer at least once a year—and updating it whenever you have changes—is a smart move, says career counselor Michele Derosa.
“It’s up to all of us to manage our own careers,” says Derosa, of the Ben Hudnall Memorial Trust (one of two educational trusts serving union coalition-represented employees). “Having an up-to-date profile is a part of that. It’s a way to demonstrate your interest and set yourself apart.”
Derosa also recommends tailoring your resume to the job you are applying for and talking with a career counselor at SEIU UHW-West & Joint Employer Education Fund (if you're represented by an SEIU local union) or the Hudnall trust (for members of all other unions in the Coalition of Kaiser Permanente Unions).
